چکیده

Hydrogen is a carbon-free fuel that can be produced in many ways starting from different sources. Its use as internal combustion engines could method of significantly reducing their environmental impact. In spark-ignition (SI) engines, lean hydrogen–air mixtures burnt. When gaseous like hydrogen port-injected an SI engine, working with mixtures, supercharging becomes very useful order not to excessively penalize the engine performance. this work, performance turbocharged PFI fueled by has been investigated means 1-D numerical simulations. The analysis focused on behavior both at full and partial load considering low medium speeds (1500 3000 rpm). Equivalence ratios higher than 0.35 have considered ensure acceptable cycle-to-cycle variations. constraints safety components also respected. results provide guideline able set up control strategy based variation air ratio, boost pressure, throttle opening. Furthermore, efficiency compared those base gasoline engine. At 1500 rpm, except for loads, regulated properly combining equivalence ratio pressure. maximum power reached but, each load, burning allows achieving much efficiencies output decreases 120 kW about 97 kW, but one operating point.

Improving Simulation Accuracy of a Downsized Turbocharged SI Engine by Developing a Predictive Combustion Model in 1D Simulation Software

In this paper we aim to develop a predictive combustion model for a turbocharged engine in GT-Power software to better simulate engine characteristics and study its behavior under variety of conditions. Experimental data from combustion was initially being used for modelling combustion in software and these data were used for model calibration and result validation. EF7-TC engine was chosen for...

Fuels With a High Enthalpy of Evaporation in Si Engine

The increasing use of fuels derived from oil, deepens concern about the fact that non-fossil fuels have to be considered as the fuels of the future. Among the alternatives, hydrogen produced from the abundant sources of water, seems to be one of the best, but it suffers drawbacks with regard to combustion, storage and transportation. The other alternatives are ammonia, produced from unlimited s...

Emission Performance of a Diesel Engine Running on Biodiesel Fuel at Different Compression Ratios

In the present study emission performance of a diesel engine (Lister Petter) was evaluated at different compression ratios and engine loads with soybean methyl ester and its 25%, 50%, 75% blends with diesel fuel at constant speed 1500 rpm. Exhaust emissions included CO, CO2, HC and NOx. The compression ratio and engine load varied from 14 to 20 with an interval 1 and 25 to...

Experimental Study of Hydrogen Addition Impact on Emissions and Performance of a Natural Gas Fueled Engine

Hydrogen is seen as one of the important energy carriers of the future with potential to reduce local as well as global warming. The main by-product of the combustion of hydrogen in air is water vapor and trace quantities of oxides of nitrogen. An experiment was conducted to study the impact of hydrogen/natural gas blends on performance, thermodynamic efficiency and exhaust gas emissions in ...
